Monoloco System, projet musical de Bruno BASSAN (chant, percussion, composition, DJ), naît début 2013 à Lyon, avec toujours la même folle envie de partager son goût pour les cultures africaines, cubaines, brésiliennes et caribéennes. Via une musique métissée, empreinte de groove, de jazz et de traditions, il crée son monde, son mode, raconte ses rencontres, en langues d'ici et d'ailleurs, la jungle urbaine et les émotions humaines d'aujourd'hui.
Le System du Singe Fou évolue avec des musiciens de talents, du trio au sextet, au gré des rencontres, des lieux et des événements.
Plongez dans son univers musical et, à la croisée des chemins, goûtez aux rythmes énergétiques, savourez ses mélodies envoûtantes, et de liane en liane, rum'balez, tim'balez, sem'bahiez...!!
This album represents me in more than one way, it is the catalyst, the common denominator, between my Italian-Spanish origins and my career as a percussionist, influenced by African, Brazilian and Cuban cultures.
It also includes my first musical love: funk, soul, reggae, jazz, latin rock, especially with Carlos Santana's album, "Amigos",
which triggered my passion for percussion and music in his together.
I titled my album "Casa do Bruno" because "the house of Bruno" is at home, rue Désirée, a central place in Lyon, my
musical laboratory in which, since 2003, the first models were created. It is my place of life, a place of passage, of exchanges, of meetings with various artists, of various origins, a sort of multicultural cultural embassy. It's all at once, a casa do Bruno, and this album is its crystallization.
Living in France, land of welcome, I create my own language, a common point between his music, Afro-Latin and my first
influences, pretext for my taste of sharing.
I chose to express myself mainly, in Spanish, from my roots, and in Portuguese-Brazilian, another Latin language, whose
melody and rhythm touch me to his listening.
Thus, with the collaboration of a long-time friend, Mr. Carlos da Silva, co-author and author of most of the themes
mentioned, I wanted to express myself on topics that are relevant to me. dear because of our human condition, namely,
the passing of time, hope, love, doubt, fighting for life, absence, peace.
